Clear the tracks because the Gutter Boys train is leaving the station! The boys are back with another interview from the Hocking Hills Cartoonist Retreat and this time it's none other than long time friend of the show Blake "The Uncle King" Sims. Based out of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Blake is a true comics soldier who's been cranking out pages since high school and doesn't show signs of letting up any time soon. His last book, Logor, was one of our top picks from last year and his upcoming book, Sicko Hunter, is shaping up to be another contender for 2021. We talk about his long love for comics, his early influences, and what he's hoping to accomplish in the near future. We also sprinkled in some wrestling talk because of course Blake is also a wrestling fan and it would've been disingenuous to not bring it up.
If you want to check out more of Blake's work or stay updated on what he's up to, give him a follow on Twitter and Instagram @blakersims.

We're back baby! Having returned from our Hocking HIlls trip, we're ready to get back to the usual grind pumping out toxic masculinity for the boys! The first half is full of shout outs as we cover what we got in the mail along with pickups from the Blockfort event in Columbus, Ohio. Minneapolis-based cartoonist Sean Knickerbocker joins us to talk about his interest in stories focusing on the often forgotten working class that inhabit many flyover states in the US. We also talk about his background as a printshop worker, his approaching fatherhood, and his ongoing anthology series Rust Belt Review and its development as a platform for lesser known cartoonists making solid narrative-driven fiction, his background as a printshop worker.
Visit Sean on the World Wide Web at seanknickerbocker.com and/or follow his work on Instagram @seanknickerbocker.

You have a collect call from Ligma, do you accept? Of course you do, because it's time for another episode of GUTTER BOYS. The boys are joined by a literal boy, Philly-based cartoonist Nate Garcia, to talk about how he can't even legally buy a beer yet but has still made more comics than most of you scrubs. His self-published body of work includes three issues of his one-person anthology Hornrim and his newest book Alanzo Sneek, available now directly from his webstore. Nate is a great dude and someone we've been meaning to have on the show for a while now, so it's nice to finally have him on instead of just reading his DM's asking us what we had for breakfast again.
You can follow him on Instagram @nategarciascartoons. If you want to support his work and free him from his current slumlord, donate to his Patreon and tell him we sent you.

Autoptic is back with the Gutter Boys, baby! Pete Faecke joins us once again to break down what to expect from the Autoptic 2021 Digital Festival, and we're starting things on a high note with special guest Jaime Hernandez to talk about his new art book, Queen of the Ring - Wrestling Drawings by Jaime Hernandez. To cut to the chase, we skipped out on news and shout outs for this week (don't worry, they'll return on the next main feed episode) to get down and dirty with Jaime about his love of pro wrestling, what made him decide to release his never-before-seen drawings to the public, and his thoughts on the current landscape of comics and cartooning. So don't be a pencil necked geek and miss out on this banger of an episode. Hit that play button, or we're dropping you through a stack of tables!
Jaime doesn't really have any social media, but it's not like his work is hard to find.
Follow Autoptic on Instagram @autopticfestival and Twitter @autopticfest for more updates on their digital programming for this year. You can also check out their video interviews on their Youtube channel or stream the audio on their Anchor feed.

Blaaattaaaaaoooowww GUTTER BOYS returns with another bi-weekly dose of shop talk for you sick pain pigs. On this week's episode, we're joined by Belarusian cartoonist Gleb Melnikov who is the current artist on DC's Robin to discuss the toxicity of our city (of our city), his experiences as an international artist that worked his way up from small press to the big leagues, and what the future holds for Big Gleb in a post-DC world. We also touch on some news, a heaping of shout outs to our listeners who sent in their comics, and some hints at what you all can expect in the coming weeks from the boys.
Follow Gleb on Twitter @GlebMelnikov8 for his esoteric insights into the depraved world of Damien stans.
