Welcome Gutter Gang to another year of real talk from the boys! We're starting this year hot with plenty of shout outs and shilling (GUTTERBOYS.TOP) to start things off. For this episode, we're pulling out another gem from the Hocking Hills vault from what feels like forever ago (six months to be exact) when we sat down with Chicago-based cartoonist Alex Nall, and it's a real genuine heart warmer. Alex shares his development as a cartoonist, his love for making comics starting in high school, how he became an educator, his autobiographical book Are Comic Books Real, his current ongoing series Kids with Guns, and what his plans are for the near future.
Follow Alex on Instagram @alexnall0 and pick up a comic or two from his webstore.

Trash bags filled with cut ribbons and torn wrapping paper line the streets. Fridges across the country are packed to the brim with Tupperware containers full of leftovers. The eggnog is gone, and so is the brother-in-law that loves saying the N word, and he's definitely not black. All signs point to the the day Dr. Melfi referred to as "Stressmas" has come and gone once again and we're nearing the end of another year. But before everyone huddles around their COVID-exposed friends and family to welcome 2022, there's still one more Gutter Boys episode to stream so you can find out who are this years PIMPS & SIMPS of 2021. After the awards, we're joined with Brian Baynes of Bubbles Fanzine and Ryan Holmberg to discuss their recent book Bat Kid. Originally written and drawn by Inoue Kazuo and serialized in Manga Shōnen from 1947 to 1949, Bat Kid was re-released this year by Bubbles in a brand new English translation to reintroduce a whole new generation of comic readers to post-war manga and Kazuo's influential career.
Follow Brian on Instragram @bubbles_zine and be sure to check out the Bubbles Fanzine Forum at bubbleszine.proboards.com. Ryan Holmberg can be found on Instagram as well @mangaberg.

CRIKEY! If there's one thing the Gutter Boys know all too well, it's Knifey-Spoony. And coincidentally enough, so does our special guest for this week. Hailing from Tasmania, Australia and currently residing in beautiful Santa Clarita, California, Simon Hanselmann has been lighting up the comics world for nearly a decade with his ongoing comic series Megg, Mogg, and Owl. On this episode we shoot the proverbial, covering a variety of topics including our favorite shielas, the regional importance of "," wanking Japanese businessmen, and the dangers of being raised in burlesque.
You can follow Simon on Instagram @simon.hanselmann and Twitter @s_k_hanselmann.

Gutter Boys may be on holiday, but we're still pumping out new episodes for the real ones. This week's guest is CM Campbell, Columbus-based artist, cartoonist, curator, and comics professor at Columbus College of Art & Design. We chat about his long journey that led him to comics, his newest self-published work titled That Ol' English, his experience working with Hyperallergic, and his love for teaching. Although this one is a little more heady than usual, we still manage to crack some jokes for some cheap pops.
You can check out more of his work at his website, cmcampbellart.com. You can also follow him on Instagram @mrcplcraig.
