Based out of Chicago, she's been published by the who's who of small press publishers and has three fantastic books under her belt (Spirit Prison, Band for Life, and Lovers in the Garden). We briefly go over developing news in comics about you-know-what., and answer listener questions delving into her process, her thoughts on the medium, and her experiences teaching at School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In the back half, Anya shares her perspective on what it means to be a cartoonist, her development as a writer and artist, and the reality of impostor syndrome among cartoonists. We also talk music preferences and what we've all been listening to when we do our thing at the drawing desk.

Gutter Nation, we are back for another banger for your kind, precious ears! On this episode, we're joined by long time friend and one of the hardest working people we know in comics today, MS Harkness. She's the creator of Tinderella and and her new book, Desperate Pleasures (which would be out relatively soon if not for our current pandemic). We take listener questions and go over the latest news impacting creators and readers alike as we continue to self-isolate like responsible adults. In the second half, we talk shop about her process, her opinions about auto bio as a subgenre in comics, her development of her career as a comic creator, and what artists can do if they want to become a successful cartoonist in the modern world.
MS Harkness can be found on Twitter @msharkness and Instagram @m.s.harkness.
If you can, please support her and her work at https://www.patreon.com/msharkness to get further insight into her process and be able to get exclusive sneak peaks at her new projects.

On this episode we're joined once again by Dave Baker. We take a closer look at his work, his inspirations, and his perspective on comics as a medium and industry. Don't worry, it's a pretty conversational chat between friends, so it wont be nearly as dry as we just made it out to be.
Dave Baker can be found on Instagram and Twitter @xdavebkerx or you can visit his website at heydavebaker.com.
Send us your questions to gutterboyspodcast@gmail.com or DM us on Twitter (@gutterboyspod, @mortcrimpjr, & @camdelrosario) or Instagram (@mortcrimpjr & @camdelrosario). And as always, thanks for listening.

Wow what a month, huh? Things are getting WILD. But don't fret, Gutter Gang, because we are bringing you some more free content to enjoy in these dire times. On this episode, we answer listener questions (they're mostly serious this time), discuss some news in the comics world, and review last month's C2E2 in Chicago, which may very well b the last comic con for the foreseeable future due to the current pandemic. In the second half, we're joined Nicole Goux (@ngoux on IG, @NicoleGoux on Twitter) and Dave Baker (@xdavebakerx on IG & Twitter) where we discuss their output, comics contracts, and the history of a broken industry. While the interview is somewhat brief, we'll have them back on in the very near future individually.
Questions? Comments? Hysteric rants? Send them our way at gutterboyspodcast@gmail.com! And as usual, you can find the Gutter Boys on Twitter & Instagram (@mortcrimpjr & @camdelrosario).
