Mind the blicky, Gutter Boys are coming with a nice fat episode with a CLASSICO-style intro where the boys cover the news and random bits of chatter like we used to do. In the second half, Cam talks with David Caldwell, friend of the show and cartoonist based out of Knoxville, TN. David is a consummate road warrior, doing show after show across the country to sell his wares. They talk about his body of work, his experiences on the road, and a bit of process talk that some of you freaks love to hear.

We catch up with Michael on his journey of making the book, UK's dire economic situation and how it's impacted artists like himself, what motivates him to keep making work, and his recent residency at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. We also suck him off for like a solid 15 minutes because the book is that good.

The evil infidels of KC are defeated by the People's Republic of Philadelphia, Drake is humiliated on two national stages, and the Gutter Boys are getting back to a semi-regular schedule. The world is finally healing.
On this episode, we're joined with Philly's own Connie Myers to talk about the one thing this podcast is allegedly about: COMICS. We discuss her influences, her early work and how it's developed over the past few years, her newest book Big Gamble Rainbow Highway, and what it means to be a cartoonist in a growing hostile multimedia world dominated by giant tech companies.

LATE BUT NOT NEVER. We're joined with past guest Bianca Xunise and first-time guest Raeghan Buchanan in a two-for-one shop talk. Both have been actively touring to support their respective books: Bianca's Punk Rock Karaoke (Penguin) and Raeghan's 2nd edition printing of The Secret History of Black Punk (Silver Sprocket). We talk about their books, what it's been like on the road in Europe, the overlap of comics and punks, being black in predominately white spaces, and why southern food is better than the garbage served in the midwest.

Yeah we're a week late. We know. And we're sorry! Past Guysner winner Nate McDonough joins JB to talk about LONGBOXES, his recently self-published autobiographical book collecting all of his ongoing Longboxes stories originally published in his comic zine Grixly. We get into his lurid career as a comics flipper, the stories and characters of an unforgiving world that inform his comics, and the overlooked taxonomy of ponytail guys.
